USC Real Estate Network event in downtown Los Angeles: “Pacific Rim Capital Banks on DTLA” presented by the USC Alumni Real Estate Network and the USC Asian Pacific Alumni Association.
I attended this fantastic event at the City Club. A panel of USC alumni active in the Los Angeles real estate world spoke about their pending projects in downtown. Jessica Lall of the South Park Business Improvement District moderated the panel and gave a short introduction outlining the steady influx of residential inhabitants to downtown. Tammy Jow of AC Martin spoke about the Korean Air Wilshire Grand project–hotel, office and retail. An incredible looking building. Ryan Aubry, who is the Development Manager for Greenland USA, talked about Greenland’s projects in China and then walked us through the four buildings that Greenland is building near the freeway–hotel and residential. Those buildings are also making good progress. Mark Nay, Senior Associate Vice President of RTKL, showed some very impressive slides of Oceanwide Plaza next to Staples Center–hotel, retail and residential. Lastly Sonnet Hui, Executive Project Director for the Hazens Group USA project, showed us the conceptual drawings for their project, which is still in the entitlement stage.
It is amazing to see the extensive real estate development taking place in downtown Los Angeles and these projects only scratch the surface. The USC Real Estate Network put on a great event.
