We have been busy. Laine appeared in front of the Second Division of the California Court of Appeal on behalf of our client. We won a dismissal of the plaintiff’s lawsuit in the trial court. The Appellate Court’s questioning gives us hope that we will win the appeal.
We are preparing for a trial in the Los Angeles Superior Court on behalf of a lender client who is pursuing a guarantor for the shortfall on a commercial real estate loan. Trial is a lot of work but we believe that our client’s position is strong.
We just won a judgment of over $440,000 in an international arbitration involving two integrated circuit companies who were working together.
We continue to work on cases involving a dispute between former partners, a failure to disclose claim on the sale of a Studio City home, a quiet title action and more.
Laine recently spoke to the Wilshire Rotary Club about Building Men in Uganda.
